Construction
The body is made from the relatively lightweight poplar and is paired with a maple neck and Indian laurel fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable “C” shape to it while the laurel fingerboard provides a smooth, natural-feeling playing surface. With its Arctic White finish and black pickguard, this Affinity Series model adds a modern twist to this classic design.
Pickups
The Affinity Series Jazzmaster differs from a traditional model in a couple of noticeable ways. First is the pickups. With dual humbuckers, you get a more modern and versatile sound. Warmer, thicker, and punchier than a Jazzmaster single-coil, these pickups will handle a wide range of genres. The other is the bridge, instead of the floating vibrato tailpiece you get a hardtail bridge for greater tuning stability and sustain. Perfect for aggressive strumming!
