A Chaotic Fuzzbox Classic Returns in All Its Brassy Glory
Behringer’s Bass Brassmaster Fuzz recreates one of the most idiosyncratic pedals of the early fuzzbox era, copping the original’s raw and ripping vibe with impeccable vintage authenticity. This pedal’s crushing sound may not particularly recall the sound of a brass instrument — the charmingly antiquated purpose of the original model when it was first released in 1972 — yet it does supply both guitarists and bassists with one of the nastiest sounding fuzz tones out there, controlled via the pedal’s Sensitivity and Brass Vol. knobs. To temper these thunderous tones, the Bass Brassmaster’s Bass Vol. knob blends your clean signal back into the fuzz — a feature often used by Sweetwater’s bassists, as it sharpens the definition of heavily fuzzed-out lower-position riffs. What’s more, the 2-position Brass switch offers an additional midrange-forward voice to slice through the mix, while the Harmonic filter switch toggles between upper harmonics and lower frequencies to swerve between explosive rhythms and searing lead sounds. Complete with a heavy-duty metal enclosure and true bypass switching, the Behringer Bass Brassmaster Fuzz is your chance to capture the chaotic sounds of a true fuzzbox classic.
Features:
An authentic replication of an ultra-rare and sought-after octave fuzzbox from 1972
Supplies an explosive fuzz tone with a built-in ring modulator, utterly transforming your signal with crushing ferocity
Sensitivity knob dials in your level of fuzz, from a touch of attitude to all-out chaos
Bass Vol. knob dictates the level of clean bass in your signal, while the Brass Vol. determines the level of fuzz signal
Brass switch offers 2 voicings: a treble-tinged character and a secondary voicing with cutting midrange bite
Harmonic switch toggles the pedal’s filter function to emphasize upper harmonics or lower frequencies
Heavy-duty metal enclosure with stylish vintage-tinged aesthetics inspired by the original
True bypass construction keeps your signal clean when the pedal is disengaged
