Back in 2016, Robbie joined South African band Opposite The Other. The band were quick to play support tours with The Lumineers (USA), Bastille (UK) and Calum Scott (UK) and quickly found strong traction on national radio and digital platforms worldwide. Robbie currently performs with popular South African artist Matthew Mole. Together, playing some of the country’s biggest stages, touring Europe and recording studio sessions.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO MAKE MUSIC?
It’s all I’ve been doing since the age of 15 and by now, it’s become my life and apart of who I am and known for.
IF YOU COULD COLLABORATE WITH ANY MUSICIAN, WHO WOULD IT BE, AND WHY?
Living, definitely Dave Grohl – It would just be totally awesome to collaborate with someone who played in 2 major bands and performing in different roles, Similar to what I am doing now, being a drummer, but also the singer/ guitarist in Oooth. Dead, John Bonham – he is the most iconic drummer in my opinion, and many of us drummers aspire to play like him.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL AND WHY?
22″ Avedis Medium Ride – so far it worked in any and every music genre I played & recorded in.
